In the summer months you can test the Birkebeiner trail by bike from Sjusjøen, or try trail and mountain biking at Skeikampen. Hafjell Bike Park offers bike rental in a lift-based bike facility . If you prefer hiking , the national parks Langsua, Rondane and Jotunheimen offer great hikes, or you can take a horseback ride on Venabygdsfjellet or in Espedalen. Try your luck fishing in Gudbrandsdalslågen and Mjøsa, or go on a moose safari . The possibilities are many and varied for those who want an active holiday.

Lysgårdsbakkene Ski Jumping facility&nbsp;from the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics is a landmark in Lillehammer. From the top of the hill you have a fantastic view of the city and Lake Mjøsa. You can walk or take the chairlift up, and you can see the jumpers in action. The facility is part of the Olympic Park .

Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh and Toboggan Run , which is part of the Olympic Park , is the only bobsleigh and toboggan run in Scandinavia. Are you ready for a real challenge, you are most welcome, whether you are a child or an adult. Children from 10 years old, accompanied by a parent, can join in and ride. Fun for the whole family! In summer you can experience a fast-paced ride with a wheel bobsleigh. The bobsleigh and toboggan run is located at Hunderfossen, 15 km north of Lillehammer city center
